Alder helps with problems one has been avoiding, it is a symbol of strength & battle, the red sap is associated with the blood of war, with red marks underneath the bark believed to be Elven Blood. The Alder blends all four elements, but can be unpredictable and fickle. Its wands are used in resurrection ceremonies such as the resurrection of the spring from the winter.
The Alder fairy is dark and mysterious, if they do not wish to be seen, they will fly from the tree branches as crows or ravens. The raven is the sacred bird of Bran. The Alder fairy can impart the secret of defence and teach one how to look for omens or the gift of prophecy.
This wand has been “treated” with beeswax polish following its de-barking and sanding process; it also has the following herbs inserted into the handle.
