Blackthorn Wand
Description
This is a lovely and lovingly hand crafted Blackthorn wand which measures approx. 33 cm from its handle to its tip. Cleansing and protective herbs in the handle which measures approx. 12 cm in length.
This wand was harvested on 31st October 2021, Samhain which is one of the day when this lovely wood should/can be harvested.

In Irish folklore the blackthorn is protected by its own fairy tribe – the Luanisidhe or Launantishee. These are spikey, angry creatures who will curse you should you cut wood from blackthorn on the day of the New Year (November 11th) or on the old May Day (May 11th)
This wand has been “treated” with beeswax polish following debarking and sanding; it also has the following herbs inserted into the handle:
Mugwort – For strength, protection and cleansing
Vervain – for Protection and purification
Yarrow – for clearing negativity and easing fears
