Rowan Altar Cross
Description
These lovely little Rowan Crosses are approx 7.5 cm by 7.5 cm. This makes them a nice size for adding to Altars for added protection.
Rowan Crosses formed by tying two equal length pieces of Rowan together to form a cross are believed to be powerful amulets of protection.
The wood has been partly smoothed, making them very tactile.

Rowan
Rowan is considered as helpful in terms of healing, success and power, protection and psychic intuition.
It is sacred to the Druid cults.
The Celts called it Fid na ndruad (the wizard tree).

It offers protections, courage and strength for those on their spiritual pathway and development.
The 5 point pentacle at the base of the berry was considered as being a mark of magickal importance hence amulets and charms were often made with them.
Two equal lengths of Rowan twigs tied with red thread into a cross is a powerful protective amulet.
